The 2017 announcement of Arkansas’s Most Endangered Places will be held on Friday, May 19 at 10:00 a.m. at the Historic Fulk Building (now CJRW), located at 300 Main Street in downtown Little Rock.  You are welcome to attend!  More information will be posted on this page after the announcement.  Be sure to watch us on Facebook Live that morning for a LIVE streaming of the announcement!

Since 1999, Preserve Arkansas has released an annual list of Arkansas’s Most Endangered Places. The list is designed to:

  • Raise awareness of the importance of Arkansas’s historic places.
  • Generate support for saving endangered properties.
  • Provide a tool for evaluating and prioritizing preservation needs in Arkansas.
  • Make endangered properties eligible for assistance (technical and/or financial).
  • Support the goals of Arkansas Heritage Month and National Preservation Month.

The list ideally includes properties from all sections of the state as well as a wide range of property types that represent different aspects of Arkansas’s heritage and a variety of preservation issues.

Join us on May 18 for a leisurely bicycle ride to learn about Little Rock’s Most Endangered Places – past and present. The laid-back, six-mile ride will start at the River Market and end at Stone’s Throw Brewing.  Get your tickets today!
