Welcome to the new PreserveArkansas.org!
In order to strengthen our identity and differentiate ourselves from other institutions and organizations, we recently refreshed our image. While our official name is still “The Historic Preservation Alliance of Arkansas,” a new logo and a move away from “the Alliance” to “Preserve Arkansas” reflects the active role that we play in preserving the places that matter to Arkansas. Our new tagline, Restore, Redevelop, Revitalize, reflects the ways in which historic preservation impacts Arkansas communities.
Join Central Arkansas’s best bartenders on Thursday, June 25, 2015 for the FIRST ANNUAL Preservation Libations MIX-OFF bartending competition, a rip-roaring good time celebrating prohibition-era mixology. Eight bartenders will mix for the masses with a prohibition-era drink, hoping to win the “People’s Choice” Award. Then our “best in the business” judges will judge a second round of mixing, where bartenders will serve up an updated version of their favorite prohibition-era drink. MORE
Each year Preserve Arkansas compiles an list of Arkansas’s Most Endangered Historic Places for release during May, Arkansas Heritage Month and National Preservation Month. We seek to raise statewide awareness of the importance of Arkansas’s historic places and generate support for saving endangered proprieties.
